Charming Toledo #1 (Eng)

Toledo is a Spain’s historic city located in the south of Madrid the capital city of Spain. The ancient Toledo city sit on the hills surrounding by river, the whole city cover by fortress. Toledo has it own unique architecture by religion diversity., Christians, Muslims and Jews.

We started from Madrid by car so we can absorb Spanish atmosphere along the way. A while after left the city we started to see infinity hills view and uncommon trees that we have back at home in Thailand like those olive fields. All shades of green on the yellow sandy soil hills. It was such a great idea travelling on the road to Toledo.

On the way we stopped for breakfast at the gas station, most of the gas station has a Tapas Bars that are serving from coffee, tea, breakfast to Tapas and drinks.

73Km. away from Madrid it took us about 90 minutes to get there. It was convenient way and traffic wasn’t bad after we left the central Madrid. In every little town we drove passed has it own stunning castle and church.

We parked the car outside of the town about 5 minutes walk to the city gate. Front gate has  very nice decoration and well maintain garden. Following the road up to the city was beautiful climb up hills.

On top of the two reasons why Toledo is so charming is the unique architecture influenced by 3 religions diversity Christians, Muslims and Jews.  We wandering around the city by foot checking out all 3 religions historic places. And yes and we get lost!

Must Visit Places in Toledo

  •  Alcázar of Toledo Once used as a Roman Palace in the 3rd Century

*  fun fact : An alcázar is a type of Moorish Castle or Palace in Spain and Portugal built during Muslim rule. Although some were founded by Christians and other were built on earlier Roman or Visigothic fortifications *

Now  Alcázar of Toledo known as the Museum of the Army or Museo Del Ejercito. Entrance Fee 5€

  • Mosque Cristo de la Luz Built in 999. The first historic place after entered the city gate it is the only one of ten mosque that once existed in the city, which remains largely as it was in Moorish period.
  • Cathedral of Toledo The Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo is a Roman Catholic church. One of the three 13the Century High Gothic cathedrals in Spain. The main church of Toledo built in 1226 finished in 1443. Inside is amazingly beautiful a wealth of artwork, the main chapel, Retable, Stained glass windows. The most impressive that’s really impressed us was El Transperente

One of the most outstanding features of the Cathedral is the Baroque altarpiece. El Transparente is several storys high and is extraordinarily well-executed with fantastic figures done in stucco, painting, bronze castings, and multiple colors of marbles. Baroque in Gothic cathedral a fantastic contrast.

โทเลโด (Toledo)เป็นเมืองหลวงเก่าของประเทศเสปน ตั้งอยู่ทางตอนใต้ของมาดริด เป็นเมืองเก่าบนเนินเขามีแม่น้ำล้อม ทั้งเมืองเป็นป้อมปราการกำแพงล้อมรอบ มีสถาปัตย์กรรมที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวคือตัวเมืองจะสร้างด้วยหินสีเหลืองซีดมีอิทธิพลจากทางศาสนาทั้งคริสต์​ ยิว และอิสลาม
เราเริ่มเดินทางจากมาดริดด้วยรถยนต์ เพื่อจะได้ดื่มดำกับบรรยากาศริมท้องถนนของเสปน หลังจากวิ่งรถออกนอกเมืองได้สักพักใหญ่เราก็เริ่มตื่นตาตื่นใจกับวิวสวยๆและต้นไม้แปลกตาไล่เฉดเขียวบนเนินเขาดินทรายสีเหลืองและไร่มะกอกริมทาง ทิวเขาสวยงามจับจิตมากถือว่าคุ้มมากที่เลือกเดินทางโดยรถยนต์

ระหว่างทางเราแวะปั๊มเพื่อกินอาหารเช้า ในปั๊มสาขาที่มีพื้นที่กว้างๆหน่อยก็จะมีร้านอาหารเล็กๆบริการมีตั้งแต่ชา, กาแฟ, อาหารเช้า, ทาปาส(อาหารทานเล่นจานเล็กๆ) และมีห้องน้ำสะอาดไว้บริการลูกค้าด้วยไม่ต้องห่วงเรื่องนี้

73 กิโลเมตรจากมาดริดเราใช้เวลาเดินทางประมาณ90นาทีบนถนน การสัญจรทางถนนสะดวกมากและรถไม่มากเมื่อพ้นจากตัวเมืองแล้ว เวลาขับรถผ่านเมืองเล็กๆเรามักจะเห็นปราศาสอัศวินหรือปราศาสเจ้าเมือง(อันนี้คิดเอง)และโบสถ์คริสต์เก่าแก่ในทุกๆเมืองที่รถเราวิ่งผ่าน

เมื่อมาถึงโทเลโดเราจอดรถไว้รอบนอกประตูเมือง เดินผ่านซุ้มประตูเมืองด้านหน้ามีสวนดอกไม้ประดับประดาสวยงาม เดินลัดเลาะไปตามทางมีบ้านเรือนโบราณที่สวยสมบูรณ์ มาโทเลโดต้องเดินไต่ระดับขึ้นเขาไปตามทางได้หลายหอบแฮ่กๆอยู่เหมือนกัน22494829_10155818143976477_1946186343_o

 

โทเลโดมีเสน่ห์ที่ความกระทัดรัดที่น่าค้นหา ไม่มีแผนผังที่เป็นระเบียบเตรียมตัวหลงกันได้เลยนาจา และเมืองโบราณเล็กๆเมืองนี้เป็นเมืองที่มีทั้งมัสยิดจากศาสนาอิสลาม โบสถ์คริสตจักร และโบสถ์ยิวรวมอยู่ในเมืองนี้เราเดินดูความวิจิตรของศาสนสถานต่างๆและเรียนรู้ประวัติศาสตร์ของทั้งสามศาสนาและความเป็นไปของเมือง

ขากลับลงมาจากเมืองเราเลือกเดินลงจากอีกทางมีบันไดเลื่อนพาเราทะยานลงจากบนยอดเนินเขาลงมาจนถึงกำแพงเมืองด้านข้าง22471912_10155818144056477_690029322_o
เราลงความเห็นกันไว้ว่าเราจะกลับขึ้นไปในกำแพงเมืองอีกครั้งในตอนกลางคืนเพื่อดื่มดำบรรยากาศของโทเลโดหลังอาทิตย์ลับขอบฟ้าและก็จะหาอะไรอร่อยๆกินกันด้านบนเมืองเลย

    Alcazar คือประสาทเก่าแก่ของโทเลโดที่พระราชาเคยอาศัยอยู่ แต่ปัจจุบันกลายเป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์การทหารและสงครามใช้ชื่อว่า Museo Del Ejercito ค่าเข้า 5 €

Little girls’ fun

     One early morning in isolated island named Koh Tao where i call home. Me and my mate hiking to the a secret abandon resort to discover something new for our morning walking trail. Around 8 am. the sun is shining and sea breeze nicely touch your skin. We’re walking trough small walk path leading us down steep hill. Something very delightful happening here, I start to talk about how i use to played when i was a little girl…

     …1980’s  in a small village outskirts of Bangkok most of girls I know use leafs, flowers or seeds to played cooking food instead of real food and their friends were their customers and get paid by leafs instead of real money. I used to like to played cooking and selling my food too just like the other girls at the same street but I love to played cooking with real food.,

 

I recall played selling noodle soup with real noodles from the pack of instant noodle soak it in water to make it most real and use a proper bowls and Kitchen wear from our kitchen. My customers was my nanny, housemaids and my mom.,and I get paid by coins. That was one my favorite moment. It felt so real! The food, Money and Customers. And the best part was customers (pretending) always walked pass the store front and asked which dish I’m selling today? Just like they are carving for my food and that made me so happy!!
     30 years passed look at my career., unbelievable I’m running food and beverage business. How awesome is this?! My childhood’s fun and my present career is connected! That’s also the answer why I have never get tired of working, it’s more like meditation and playing for me I always answered people this when they asking me about my job. I passionate in every inch of my work it’s never feel like working, from scratch I build up this business.  It’s always fun creating  new recipe, managing system and time, seeing it grows, seeing customers enjoying your product. I’m just having fun with it like the little girl I use be.,only this time it’s more real!
Maybe this is why i never feel empty working on something i love.
At the age of 20’s with a degree of Hotel management I jumped into the hospitality jobs immediately. But I felt empty, it wasn’t me! Tries to work in several five stars hotels and I quite entirely. At that moment I only have one answer to myself ” I can do it better than this, this is not for me. I believe you have a potential to do something bigger than this! “
i did stayed put for 6 months trying to find myself, what do I want to do?, who I want to be?
The questions that many of us wants to know after graduation. And some of us give up on these questions and forget about it entirely.
Actually it took me years to found out.

What brought me to Château De Versailles on my Birthday

I was a big fan of Marie Antoinette film directed by Sofia Coppola in 2006, of course because of the Costume Design and Soundtracks – Strike 1
Fun fact: Sofia Coppola become second women to win Cannes director prize 🏆  In 2017
In 2016 (last year) Netflix serie Versailles hit me with a questions of how huge the garden would be in reality? – Strike 2
Château De Versailles seems to engaged with me a lot through entertainment channel , TV and Film. I have been watching Marie Antoinette film more than 3 times, I never forget how I love the scenes in the garden when the Queen and her highness friends having a lot of fun after the party waiting for sunrise at the canal front…

I choose to flew with Emirates Airline connecting flights Bangkok – Dubai – Paris total air time is 12.5 hours. It was so comfortable as it was Airbus A380-800 both flights.
From CDG Airport you choose how to get in to Paris by Bus, Train, Taxi or Uber. I choose to go with Uber as it is convenient, comfortable and cheaper than Taxi €5.
In the morning of my Birthday, me and my friend (best friend) went to my ever favorite sweet place Ladurée at Printemps De La Maison for Breakfast. This is the first thing I want to do on my birthday!
This branch of Ladurée is cozy and not too crowded. Not to mention the service was excellent.
We took the train to Château De Versailles and we kept get on the wrong train or and to the wrong direction, it took us 3 hours to get to Château De Versailles. No complaining, I love to get lost or get out of the way just for a little fun. While we took the wrong train, we walked up to get to another station and we found a beautiful picture of Tour Eiffle in the background surrounding by trees and infront of it is the river.

It was perfect weather for walking in the garden. We paid €8 each to enter the Gardens of Versailles or Jardins du Château de Versailles in French.
Every step I walk I see those favorite scenes of Marie Antoinette film in my mind it made me smile. The garden is enormous and Well Maintained., too bad all fountains was off play.
Some said on weekends from late spring to early autumn, the administration of the museum sponsors the Grandes Eaux – spectacles during which all the fountains in the gardens are in full play.

We had lunch in the restaurant next to the grand canel sipping a nice refreshing white wine while enjoying talking and watching a couple enjoying their lovely time in the Paddle boat.
The Sun is getting low, we jump in to the Paddle boat padding to the middle of the grand canal and look back at the palace.

It’s look so grand from here, what a dreamy beautiful scenery infront of me today. The most beautiful birthday I have ever had. Thank you for such a great company, Annop without you it wouldn’t be this beautiful.
